Just posting an image isn’t going to bring in any potential prospects, to consistently generate new leads for your business, you need to use hashtags.

WHAT ARE INSTAGRAM HASHTAGS

Instagram hashtags work just like any other social media hashtags, they categorize and organize photos and video’s under these hashtags. If you go to a #fitness, for example, you will find video and photo content that relates to fitness.

AN EXAMPLE OF USING HASHTAGS

A person who blogs about camping can post a picture of their recent camping trip, and then use the hashtags #camping, #tent, and even use an emoji hashtag, such as #⛺️ while uploading the image to Instagram.

Users who are interested in a specific topic may follow these #hashtags, therefore, placing your content on their feed without them even following you specifically. Users may also scroll through a hashtag’s posts by searching it up, regardless if they follow it or not. Thus, if your posts show up while they are scrolling through a Hashtag, they may end up on your account like your pictures and might even follow you.

Relevance — The tags you use should be relevant, thus having people who come across your work who are actually interested in the given topic.
